A few weeks ago, we learned from the U.S. Census Bureau that the U.S. poverty rate remains alarmingly high, while inequality is on the rise. This means more people are experiencing hunger in a land of plenty. This webinar will equip you to educate peers and legislators about the taboo subject of racial inequality in the context of U.S. anti-hunger advocacy. Before we gather, you're invited to take a look at "The Color of Food" and "Good Food, Good Jobs" reports from the Applied Research Center. Confirmed speakers: Shannon Hughes, NETWORK Education Program & Mind the Gap campaign Don Williams, Bread for the World African American Church Relations Amelia Kagan, Bread for the World Senior Policy Analyst Share this with friends via the Facebook Event: This webinar is made possible by a generous grant from the ELCA World Hunger program.
